COURSE DESCRIPTION

The PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) course is designed for healthcare care providers that work with pediatric patients directly or indirectly. The PALS course is to provide effectively, recognize, and intervene in pediatric patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills.

What does the course teach?

  1. This course also includes a series of scenario practices with simulations that will reinforce important concepts.
  2. Students will also learn intraosseous techniques when peripheral IVs are not available, rhythm strips, and pertinent medications.
  3. Students will receive a PALS student manual and a certification card at the end of completion.
  4. This certification is good for two years.
